Acca Insurance
Most bookies offer "if one leg of your 4+ fold acca loses, we'll refund your stake as a free bet". Build your acca, lay each leg using the calculator, and you're guaranteed to earn a free bet when any leg fails. One leg will almost always fail.
Best for: large free bet offers (£25–£50). Your qualifying loss is the total lay liability minus what you'd expect your free bet to be worth (~75–85% of face value).

🚀
Acca Boost
Bookies boost acca odds by 10–25% for 4+ folds. Back the boosted acca, then lay each leg individually. The boost moves the back odds above the exchange lay odds, shrinking (or eliminating) your qualifying loss.
Tip: Use legs where back ≈ lay odds (tight markets) and the boost creates a genuine edge. 5 legs × 10% boost compounds significantly.

Reload Acca Offers
Many bookies run weekly acca clubs - place a 5-fold every week, get a free bet when one leg loses. Since one leg almost always loses, you earn a weekly free bet. Compounding this is where consistent profit comes from.
Examples: Betfred Acca Club, Paddy Power 5-fold Insurance, SkyBet Acca Edge.

The Maths
For each leg, lay stake = S ÷ (lay odds − commission).
This gives identical loss on every "one leg fails" scenario. Your qualifying loss = total lay liability. Your upside if all win = S × (combined odds − 1) − total liability.
Keep lay odds close to back odds per leg to minimise liability.

Rules & Limits
• Minimum odds per leg are usually 1.20–1.30 for insurance to apply
• Many bookies restrict bet builders from counting as legs
• Betfair SP / exchange lays can have poor liquidity on smaller games
• Only use Betfair, Smarkets or Matchbook - don't lay at a sportsbook
• Check offer T&Cs: some require min 4 legs, specific sport, etc.

Best Leg Selection
• Pick legs with tight back/lay spreads (top 5 European leagues, World Cup)
• Favour favourites (back odds 1.30–2.00) - lower lay liability
• Avoid heavy favourites (1.10 or lower) - thin liquidity at exchange
• Aim for at least 4 legs to qualify for insurance offers
• Settle times: use games that settle around the same time where possible
